The tuna sandwich is a classic in our lives. With our plant-based seasoning with the flavour of canned tuna, you can now enjoy this classic at home, at the beach, in the mountains, as a snack for the kids – however you like. Using a base of crumbled tofu or tofu cream for the protein, all the flavour comes from this tuna seasoning. Enjoy it and mix it up however you like.

Steps
1Crumble the plant-based protein with your hands.
2Mash the chickpea with a fork.
3Mix the mayonnaise with the TUNA-flavoured seasoning, the protein, and the chickpea.
4Wash the lettuce and tomato, and slice them.
5Toast the sandwich bread in a pan with olive oil.
6Assembly;
7Sandwich bread, our tuna and mayonnaise filling, slices of red tomato, sandwich bread, our tuna and mayonnaise filling, lettuce leaves, sandwich bread.

Notes:
This sandwich is one of my all-time favourites – the one my mother used to make for me when we spent summers in La Manga del Mar Menor, heading upstairs for dinner. It doesn’t matter whether it’s made with sandwich bread or a crusty baguette – the result is exquisite.
To go with it, nothing beats some classic crisps seasoned with Gimme Sabor’s plant-based CURED CHEESE-flavoured seasoning.
